A great opportunity organized by the World Organization of the Scouting Movement (WOSM) has been going on for the past 3 days. WOSM put together a conference for all scouters across the globe to come to Hong Kong. The participants discussed the connections between Scouting and Education. Presentations have been delivered, and there has been over 2,000 people estimated to of been using online sources and social media to be connected, with the 400 participants in person in Hong Kong. The presentations were about one of the three main topics of the congress: Society, Education, and Impact of Scouting. Comments will be saved, and the presentations will be available online after the congress is over through Youtube. Each day included a keynote address, 4 sessions in the morning, and 6-11 in the afternoon on various topics. Also evening networking events occurred.
I hope to see the results of this first educational congress as sucessfull and WOSM will be organizing another one in the near future. I would love to attend and get new ideas to bring back or to new research topics.
